Doran preach and teach a number of times on the sacrament of marriage, and in general on the conditions of marriage and singlehood. One of the insights that I've gotten from Fr. Doran has been that we are called to be faithful to God whatever our situation is in life - to be chaste in whatever condition we are in (married, single, widowed, divorced), and to recognize that Christ is ultimately our Bridegroom. That's deeply reassuring to me as a single woman - it helps me trust God's will for my life and relationships. I’ve been very fortunate to have heard Fr. I was talking last week to a close friend from church about how people freely give of their bodies before marriage, and she agreed that the world is becoming increasingly confused about marriage and sexuality.
